mXDriver 16.10.1

mXDriver 16.10.1 is based on AMD’s Radeon Crimson 16.10.1 for Windows 10 (64 Bit).

As some had problems with mXDriver 16.9.2 I offer a version WITH Vulkan and one WITHOUT Vulkan support. Getting mXDriver to support Vulkan is currently pretty much work and I hope to reduce the time needed to make the driver support Vulkan in the future.

I am currently not sure what makes 16.9.2 and 16.10.1 not work but 16.9.1 work. AMD seems to have made some modifications starting with Radeon Crimson 16.9.2 visually this is noticeable by the color of the Radeon Settings icon which switched from red to blue. But maybe they made some more modifications which I haven’t recognized yet.

UPDATE: Vulkan seems not to work with release 16.10.1, please use mXDriver 16.9.1 Reloaded instead!

Changelog

  1. Hi Joe,

Thanks again for the update! I greatly appreciate all the efforts!

I just tried this, Doom still crashes when I enable Vulkan. Vulkan has to be enabled in the game menu and restarts, then it gives an error with pop up for report, just as all the other previous Vulkan installs. There was a version of mxDriver that ran Vulkan perfectly, but I do not remember which one, I think 16.8.3 or 16.9.1. The latest crash file says this:

    vulkan-1.dll 0x781401b0 vkWaitForFences, DOOMx64vk.exe 0x5a6fe01a GetGameSystemInterface, DOOMx64vk.exe 0x5ca2dff5 GetGameSystemInterface, DOOMx64vk.exe 0x4d16bed0 ** UNKNOWN **,
    Game Crashed!

I am not sure what else I can do, but everything else is perfect, except for the advanced Radeon Pro Menu.

I can also confirm with GPU-Z that my D700’s are in crossfire too.

    Thanks again!

  2. If I am on MX Driver 16.9.2, can I install this over it? Or do I have to uninstall with DDU and redo the certificate stuff?
