OpenELEC 8.0 daily built for Raspberry Pi 2

Besides modifying (AMD) drivers I love playing around with my Raspberry Pi 2 and optimizing my Home Theater. Currently I have a Pi 2 attached to my TV running OpenELEC and a DIY Ambilight (Hyperion) setup.

Ambilight is working great and a really cool feature! If you are interested in building your own Ambilight setup look at PowerPi.de’s howto, it’s written in German but it’s great! If you don’t speak German and Google Translator doesn’t work for you you can find some more howtos written in English.

As my Ambilight is working I am experimenting with building bleeding edge OpenELEC 8.0 builds. I recently built a Raspberry Pi 2 OpenELEC 8.0 build, if you like to give it a try just download it I attached a link below.

Please keep in mind, INSTALLING AND USING THE SOFTWARE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!

For installation of the image file onto a SD card you can use Win32 Disk Imager (Windows), ApplePi Baker (OS X) or see the instructions of raspberrypi.org.
