mXDriver 17.5.1

mXDriver 17.5.1 is based on AMD’s Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.5.1 and brings the usual optimizations from AMD (newly supported games and bugfixes) as well as support for Prey®. Vulkan support is also included and gives Doom a big fps boost. Please note: Newer versions of the Vulkan API (1.0.26+) don’t work with the Vulkan Stardust Demo although other applications like Doom work great in Vulkan mode.

If you have trouble running a Vulkan application, which ran with mXDriver 16.9.1 Reloaded (Vulkan API 1.0.21) or other older drivers please see the FAQ for help. Read more mXDriver 17.5.1

mXDriver 17.3.1

mXDriver 17.3.1 is based on AMD’s Radeon Software Crimson ReLive Edition 17.3.1 and brings the usual optimizations from AMD (newly supported games and bugfixes) as well as support fort Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon® Wildlands. Vulkan support is also included and gives Doom a big fps boost. Please note: Newer versions of the Vulkan API (1.0.26+) don’t work with the Vulkan Stardust Demo although other applications like Doom work great in Vulkan mode.

If you have troubles running a Vulkan application, which ran with mXDriver 16.9.1 Reloaded (Vulkan API 1.0.21), than it should be sufficient if you replace amdvlk64.dll in C:\Windows\System32 with an older version. mXDriver 17.3.1 comes with a newer version of amdvlk64.dll, to get version 1.0.21 of amdvlk64.dll you can just use the file from mXDriver 16.9.1 Reloaded. The file is located in the ZIP-Archive under Packages/Drivers/Display/WT6A_INF/B******/ (the * are placeholders for a sequence numbers which change with every release). mXDriver 16.7.3 for Boot Camp is out!

mXDriver 16.7.3 is a bugfix and optimizing release based on AMD Radeon Crimson 16.7.3. Details to the fixes and optimization offers AMD at its website.

mXDriver 16.7.3 supports AMD Graphics powered Mac Pros (2013+). Retina iMac and MacBook Pro (2015+) support is currently experimental and might not work! To see all supported GPUs please see listing below.

mXDriver 16.7.3 was made specifically for Mac users running Windows in a Boot Camp environment therefor mXDriver support for Non-Mac-Graphics is limited. Installing mXDriver on systems other than Apple systems is NOT RECOMMENDED.

Currently only FirePros (D300, D500 and D700) seem to work properly other Apple branded GPUs are experimental.

I made several adjustments to the driver package to solve installation problems especially for M390 and M395 systems. As I don’t have such systems I couldn’t test it. If you have M39x Apple hardware and your keen enough you can test mXDriver 16.6.1. 😉
