Finally, good news for M395X users

Last week mXDriver 16.8.2 was released in an M395X Alternate Edition. According to the feedback of the community this edition seems to be the first working Boot Camp Driver Mod for AMD’s Apple branded M395X! Also it seems to solve some of the M390X problems.

So if you do own a M395X or M390X and are not happy with AMD’s/Apple’s lame driver support for Windows Boot Camp environments give mXDriver 16.8.2 M395X Alternate Edition a try and please leave feedback. Without feedback it’s impossible to improve mXDriver. Thanks guys and have fun! Read more Finally, good news for M395X users

Experimental M395X support: mXDriver 16.8.2

mXDriver 16.8.2 is available in three flavours. The usual version and two versions specifically for M395X systems! Yes, you read it right, experimental M395X support is nearing thanks to our user zoda who found a way to merge mXDriver and Apple Boot Camp Driver to make M395X support available. As I don’t own a M395X I cannot test nor confirm it’s working but first reports are quite positive.

M395X users should try M395X Edition One first, if that’s not working please use the M395X Alternate Edition. All other users please use the usual mXDriver. It is very possible that it is not working properly or even doesn’t work at all therefore we need your feedback to make it work (better) in the future! Please don’t hesitate to leave feedback, best with device ID attached.

mXDriver 16.8.2 supports AMD Graphics powered Mac Pros (2013+). Retina iMac and MacBook Pro (2015+) support is currently experimental and might not work! To see all supported GPUs please see listing below.

mXDriver 16.8.2 was made specifically for Mac users running Windows in a Boot Camp environment therefor mXDriver support for Non-Mac-Graphics is limited. Installing mXDriver on systems other than Apple systems is NOT RECOMMENDED.

Currently only FirePros (D300, D500 and D700) seem to work properly other Apple branded GPUs are experimental.

mXDriver 16.6.2 (based on Radeon Crimson Edition 16.6.2)

AMD released Radeon Crimson 16.6.2 with minor fixes, for details please see AMD’s website.

mXDriver supports AMD Graphics powered Mac Pros (2013+). Retina iMac and MacBook Pro (2015+) support is currently experimental as I don’t have access to those machines. To see all supported GPUs please see listing below.

mXDriver 16.6.2 was made specifically for Mac users running Windows in a Boot Camp environment therefor mXDriver support for Non-Mac-Graphics is limited. Installing mXDriver on systems other than Apple systems is NOT RECOMMENDED.

As M395X users were still not able to install the previous drivers properly I made some minor adjustments to this driver release, hope that fixes these problems. If you have M395X Apple hardware and your keen enough you can test mXDriver 16.6.2, at you own risk of course. 😉
